Waiting. We have taken the steps we know God told us to take. God told Mike to bring me home; no more traditional employment. So, though it wasn't simple and it wasn't easy and didn't seem to make any earthly sense, Mike brought me home. God told me to let go of things that do not belong so that I could take hold of the things that do, and to 'get off the fence.' So I did. I let go of two very significant parts of my life--not easy, but absolutely right. So, now we wait.
We wait for the next instruction, the next step in our walk with God, the next word from the Lord. While we wait, we listen...we look...we rest...we practice... we exercise in our giftings...we prepare the best we can...and we worship the One we love and trust. We know beyond any shadow of any doubt that when He next speaks to give us our next step, we will 'go out with joy and be led forth in peace.'
Waiting is NOT wasted time. Waiting is NOT inactivity. Waiting is an aggressive, faithfilled action that every believer is faced with. They that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength. They shall mount up with wings as eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint. Teach me Lord, teach me Lord to wait.
